Designed in Brewfather based on 70% mash efficiency


ABV: 8.1%

Estimated OG: 1.079 SG

Estimated FG: 1.017 SG

Color: 51 SRM


Mash:

  • 86% (17 lbs) pale malt (2 row)

  • 7% (1 lb 6 oz) Crystal 60

  • 7% (1 lb 6 oz) Midnight Wheat


Boil (90 minute):

  • 60 minute - 1 lb dextrose (corn sugar)

  • 60 minute - 2 oz Magnum hops (12% AA - 41.1 IBUs)

  • 15 minute - 0.5 oz Citra hops (12.5% AA - 5.3 IBUs)

  • 15 minute - 0.5 oz Mosaic hops (13.1% AA - 5.6 IBUs)

  • 15 minute - 1/2 Whirlfloc tablet

  • 5 minute - 0.5 oz Citra hops (12.5% AA - 2.1 IBUs)

  • 5 minute - 0.5 oz Mosaic hops (13.1% AA - 2.2 IBUs)

  • *Optional* Whirlpool - 2 Celestial Seasonings India Spice Chai teabags per gallon (20 min steep)


Yeast:

  • 3 packages Imperial Yeast #A04 Barbarian (note that this strain may have a long lag phase), or yeast starter.


Dry Hop:

  • After high krausen - 0.5-1.0 oz Citra hops (12.5%AA)

  • After high krausen - 0.5-1.0 oz Mosaic hops (13.1% AA)

  • Day 4 - 0.5-1.0 oz Citra hops (12.5%AA)

  • Day 4 - 0.5-1.0 oz Mosaic hops (13.1% AA)
